Refund & Deferral Policy
We value transparency and want to ensure all participants are fully informed before purchasing tickets. Below is our detailed policy regarding refunds and deferrals. Please review this carefully, as completing a booking means you are agreeing to these terms.
No Refunds – All Sales Are Final
We operate a strict no-refund policy, and all ticket sales are final. This is clearly outlined in our booking terms and conditions, which customers agree to during checkout.
Why Don’t We Offer Refunds?
Running a successful event involves significant upfront costs that are non-recoverable, including:
- Venue Hire – Booked and paid for in advance.
- Staffing & Suppliers – Scheduled well ahead of time to ensure the event runs smoothly.
- Marketing & Promotions – Investments made early to attract attendees and create an unforgettable experience.
Fairness & Consistency
To keep things fair and consistent for all attendees, we do not make exceptions to this policy. Refunds can create logistical and financial challenges that impact the experience for everyone involved.
Industry Standards
Refund-free ticketing is the norm for most events, including festivals, concerts, races, and conferences. We’ve structured our policy to be in line with this standard while also providing some flexibility through deferrals.
Flexible Deferral Option – Postpone Instead of Cancel
We recognise that sometimes plans change, and attending the event may no longer be possible. While refunds are not an option, we do offer deferrals as an alternative.
What is a Deferral?
A deferral allows you to transfer your ticket to a future event if you cannot attend the one you originally booked for.
Deferral Window Details
- When Can You Defer? – A 3-day deferral window opens exactly 2 weeks before the event date.
- How Does It Work? –
- Participants will receive an email reminder with a link and instructions for processing their deferral request.
- You’ll have 3 full days to complete the process.
- Deadline Alert! – Once the window closes, no further deferrals will be accepted, and your ticket will no longer be transferable.
Key Reminders About Deferrals
- Deferrals Are Limited to Future Events – You cannot transfer your ticket to someone else or request a partial refund.
- Time-Sensitive Process – Deferrals can only be processed within the designated 3-day period.
- No Last-Minute Changes – Once the deadline has passed, your booking is locked in and cannot be changed.
Why Do We Use a Deferral System Instead of Refunds?
The deferral system offers:
- Flexibility Without Disruption – Allows participants to postpone rather than lose their booking entirely.
- Financial Stability – Ensures the event can proceed as planned without unexpected gaps in attendance or cash flow.
- Fairness for All Attendees – Guarantees everyone follows the same process, avoiding exceptions that may lead to unfair treatment.
How to Prepare Before Booking
To avoid any issues, we recommend:
- Double-Check Your Schedule – Confirm the date and time of the event works for you.
- Read the Terms Carefully – Be sure you understand and agree to our policies before completing payment.
- Set Calendar Reminders – If you might need to defer, mark the 3-day window on your calendar so you don’t miss it.
